Every great home has a story, and for this Minneapolis kitchen remodel, the narrative was about light and flow. Our clients came to Laghmich Design and Remodeling looking to transform a dated, compartmentalized space into an open-concept "heart of the home" that could keep up with a busy Twin Cities lifestyle.

As a leading design-build team in Minneapolis, we knew the challenge wasn't just about replacing cabinets—it was about rethinking spatial relationships. We integrated 3D architectural visualization early in the process to show how removing barriers and adding skylights would invite natural light to dance off the new surfaces.

Custom Cabinetry: We utilized a serene blue-gray finish for the cabinetry, a top 2026 trend in Minnesota home renovations. The mix of shiplap textures and classic recessed panels provides a "modern farmhouse" soul with a sophisticated urban edge.

The Hub of the Home: A massive quartz waterfall island serves as the centerpiece. Paired with tufted velvet seating, it’s designed for everything from quick breakfasts to evening hosting.

Integrated Performance: We tucked away high-end appliances with panel-ready finishes and installed a professional-grade double oven to meet the needs of a home chef.

Lighting Artistry: Chrome industrial-chic pendants provide a focal point, while layered LED task lighting ensures the workspace is as functional as it is beautiful.
